Role Summary

As the Information Technology (IT) Manager, you will be the driving force behind our IT function, ensuring alignment with our business goals. You'll be responsible for strategic planning, project execution, infrastructure management, security, data integrity, and collaboration with external service providers. This role has no supervisory responsibilities. In our agile environment, you'll also be hands-on with troubleshooting and solution implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT policies and best practices that scale with our growth
  • Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Communicate project status and impacts clearly to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with IT service providers to ensure seamless technology services and support
  • Oversee network user administration, including security, passwords, and access management
  • Partner with IT service providers to troubleshoot and resolve employee IT issues
  • Maintain and support onsite resources, such as servers, workstations, conference room technology, WiFi networks, security systems, and other hardware
  • Manage software licenses and renewals, collaborating cross-functionally for evaluations and negotiations
  • Develop, implement, and manage cloud-based backups and disaster recovery plans

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as an IT manager or in a similar role
  • Experience in a regulated environment (life sciences or medical devices a plus), with understanding of PIH, HIPAA, and SOC2 compliance
  • Demonstrated experience managing computer networks, network administration, and network installation in a dynamic environment
  • Experience  working with and managing external IT service providers
  • Experience scaling processes and procedures in a high-growth environment
  • Ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization and provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and task management skills
  • Ability to maintain a full-time physical presence in the office and provide occasional after-hours support
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing and administering Microsoft networks and environments (Office 365, Active Directory, SharePoint)
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, Slack, Zoom, and Google Suite
  • Microsoft, Cisco, CISSP, Project+ or other certifications

 

Physical requirements

 

·      Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.

·      Occasional lifting of equipment or supplies weighing up to 25-35 pounds.

·      Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through electronic means.

·      Manual dexterity to operate computers and other office equipment.

·      Ability to travel to different locations as needed for meetings or project requirements.

  • Salary Range: $85,000-$115,000: Our compensation philosophy is to bring people into new roles in the range of  the mid-point of that role. Factors considered for pay include the level of skill, experience, training, external market factors, and internal  equity.
